How-to Hints

Tips for enjoying a better air charter experience:

Request for Bid

  • Rather than asking for a specific aircraft type, give our experts the dimensions, weights, availability and deadline and let them offer the best aircraft for the job.

  • Let us know if you are trying multiple bidders, so that we don’t do double work, and so that airlines don’t become less negotiable.

  • Let us know if you want us to provide your multiple bids. Ask about our Best of 3 Guarantee for exclusive Customers.

  • Complete a Profile, and let us know if you need a bid faster than your Profile says. More time usually means more (often better) options.

  • Call in your bid request rather than email, especially during traditionally fewer-staffed periods like nights, weekends or holidays.

Choose Solution

  • During peak periods, don’t take too long to decide. Your best option may be booked for someone else’s mission.

  • Have a Master Agreement on file so that you need only receive a Charter Detail Notice rather than wait to sign a one-time agreement.

  • Have an approved Credit Application on file so that you have no delays setting up payment.

Manage Shipment

  • Use our VIP Advisor to track your shipment while it is airborne, plus our email progress reports. More timely, and more people informed simultaneously.

  • Update your Profile, and let us know if you want one-time variances in how you receive progress reports.

  • Upgrade your continuity/contingency planning with Plan C.

International

  • Be aware of all needed documents and ask about the latest Customs and other regulations.

  • Check on foreign holidays and curfews that can affect whether your freight can be transported or cleared.

  • Brief your Customs brokers on each end of the shipment as early as possible, and provide each with necessary documents.

  • Don’t wait until the material is produced to create the commercial invoice – create an invoice and produce material to match.
