- Always rely on an air charter expert to help you choose the right aircraft for the job.
- Slower aircraft that are closer to your pickup may allow faster delivery times.
- Aircraft of the same type can frequently have different capacities, door sizes, etc.
- Max payloads drop significantly with higher altitudes, shorter runways, high temperatures, and weather issues.
- Volume is tricky because aircraft are usually cylindrical – what will fit in the same volume container may not fit in an aircraft. Usually the smaller that you can allow your freight to be repackaged the more of it can fit into an aircraft.
- The floor bearing weight of an aircraft will determine whether a dense, heavy item can be carried. For example, neither aircraft above could carry an injection mold with a footprint of 24 inches square, weighing 3000 pounds.
